Every rate behind this tool is an illustrative example chosen to make the demo work — casement window from about £450 each, bi-fold from about £1,100 per metre, roof lantern from about £1,800, balustrade from about £350 per metre, with example uplifts for aluminium and for finish. All of them would be replaced with your own prices before this page went anywhere near a customer.

FreeWe come and measure the opening ourselves. Glazing is unforgiving — a unit made to somebody else's numbers is a unit that does not fit — so the survey is where the job is won or lost.

Within a few daysA written price covering the unit, the glass specification, the finish and the fitting, so you can compare it properly against anyone else's.

Manufacture
Typically 3–5 weeksMade to your measurements in the finish you chose. We will tell you the lead time at the quote and let you know if it moves.

Fit
Usually one dayFitted, sealed, adjusted and cleaned by our own installers — not subcontracted out. Old units taken away, and the opening made good.

Lead times, materials and regs.
How long from order to fitting?
Windows and doors are typically three to five weeks from survey to installation; bi-folds and lanterns can run a little longer depending on the finish. You get the lead time in writing with the quote, and we tell you if it moves rather than leaving you to chase.
uPVC or aluminium — which should I choose?
uPVC is the value choice and perfectly good for standard casement windows. Aluminium is stronger, so the frames are much slimmer for the same opening — which is why bi-folds, big sliders and lanterns are almost always aluminium. If you want the maximum glass and the minimum frame, that is aluminium.
Do roof lights and lanterns need building regulations approval?
New or enlarged roof glazing generally falls under building regulations for thermal performance and structural opening, and your builder or a building-control inspector signs it off as part of the wider work. Replacement windows and doors are normally certified through an installer scheme instead of a separate application — your own scheme and registration number would be named here.
Can you glaze into an opening my builder has made?
Yes, and it is worth getting us in before the aperture is formed rather than after. If it has already been built slightly out, we will usually work with it on site rather than remanufacture.
What glass do you use?
Double-glazed sealed units as standard, toughened or laminated where the position requires it — low-level glazing, doors, balustrades and overhead glass all have their own requirements. Self-cleaning and solar-control coatings are options on roof glazing, where cleaning is awkward and overheating is real.
Is the estimate on this page the price I will pay?
No — it is a ballpark to tell you whether the job is in the right region before anyone visits. The real price comes from the survey, in writing, and it will not change afterwards.
Do you do commercial work?
Yes, residential and commercial both — shopfronts, offices and communal areas as well as houses.
What happens if something is damaged or misted later?
Sealed units and hardware carry manufacturer warranties, and our own fitting is guaranteed. If a unit mists or a mechanism fails, call us and we will come and look at it.
